Born in 1984 in Belgrade, where she graduated in composition from the Faculty of Music of the University of Arts and where she also finished studies of Sound and Music Production. With honours, Djordjević finished postgraduate specialist studies in composition at Conservatoire de Strasbourg in the class of Ivan Fedele. Additionally she studied in Paris at IRCAM and in Berlin at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in the class of Hanspeter Kyburz, constantly taking part in all the most notable courses and festivals.
Her keen interest in science and language is present in her music, that focuses on working with sound and dealing with different formal subjects in an innovative and analytical way, constantly keeping a particular expressivity as an essential mark of her work.
Djordjević’s music is performed worldwide and she received numerous awards, among which the most recent are Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik (2017), Composer’s Prize of The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation (2016), Staubach Fellowship (2016) and Belmont Prize (2015).
