Workshop with artist Nevin Aladağ

In Kooperation mit der Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt

Parallel to the Darmstadt Summer Course, there is a solo exhibition by the internationally renowned installation and performance artist Nevin Aladağ (*1972 Van, Turkey, lives and works in Berlin) at Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt (World Heritage Site).
Aladağ playfully intertwines artistic forms of expression such as sculpture, painting, textiles, video and sound to create multimedia works. By experimenting with form, material and sound, the artist activates a new perceptual experience. Some of Aladağ’s works are sculptural object and musical instrument at the same time.

On Wednesday, 30 July from 3 to 6 p. m., Nevin Aladağ will be offering a mini-workshop for Summer Course participants who will have the opportunity to get to know her practice and to work with some of her sounding objects in the exhibition.

We kindly ask Summer Course participants to register their interest by 29 June by sending a short e-mail to participants@darmstaedter-ferienkurse.de.

Please also note:
All Darmstadt Summer Course participants can visit the exhibition at a reduced price by showing their participant ID at the Mathildenhöhe ticket counter.
