Composing with Space & Movement: Mubone Open Call / Workshop

The mubone is an interface for mapping live and recorded sound in virtual space, like painting sound onto a virtual canvas. Sound objects are visually/sonically projected/spatialized. I co-created with instrument designer Travis West and have been developing it since 2018. For the first time, I invite composers and composer-improvisors to create with the system during our time together at Darmstadt.

I’ll spend a few minutes to explain the system and spend most of the time facilitating and welcoming compositional ideas to try live. All composers and performers are welcome to propose ideas and use the interface.

Context: In our last open space we introduced the system. In this open space we will work on trying different ideas, concepts, and approaches proposed by you. No preparation need.
