Listening & spontaneous movement

Together we are exploring the connection between active listening and spontaneous movement or free improvisation.

How can listening be examined, not just as an acoustic and physiological function of the auditory sense, but also as a full-body, mental, and interpersonal process? Through a synesthetic approach to embodied listening and sensing we get to know different sources of inspiration for spontaneous movement and techniques for sustained attention to sense.

Together we come to an exchange about what listening, sensing and movement can be for us and how they are connected.

Whatever each of you takes from the workshop, for your own personal practice of listening and its relationship to movement, is entirely up to you.

No prior experience or expertise is required—what matters most is openness to movement and encounter. Comfortable clothing is recommended:)

If you want, feel free to bring instruments for a free improv session after the workshop. Attendance will be limited to ca. 15 people.
