Sacrificing sound

Sharing my research on the ancestral chants of the Aché people, one of the indigenous populations that inhabit the territory of what is now known as Paraguay, the country I was born in.
After an initial cultural contextualization, I will share the studies I have done of different recordings of Aché chants, covering a time span from 1963 to 2021, in order to do make some reflections about the effect of colonization on their singing style, and, from there, reflect on possible artistic perspectives.
