The Instrumentalist Today: Roles in Co-Creation and Performance

In this presentation, we share our experience as performers (cello and saxophone) working within an artistic context strongly influenced by technology. This evolving landscape presents new challenges for the performer, whose training within the framework of Western classical music has remained largely unchanged.
We describe our process of discovery through case studies involving instrument and electronics, highlighting the development of a more active performer — one who engages directly with electronic devices and embraces a role as co-creator.
We warmly invite all interested participants to share their own experiences, challenges, or difficulties. Our aim is to foster an open and enriching discussion, particularly relevant to performers and composers navigating similar creative environments.
