Ulrich Mosch

Born in 1955 in Stuttgart, Germany. Ulrich Mosch studied Music and German Literature in Hannover and Musicology at the Technische Universität in Berlin (with Carl Dahlhaus). Graduated 1991 in Berlin with a thesis about the aural perception of total serialism. 2004 appointment as university lecturer (Habilitation) at the Paris Lodron Universität in Salzburg, Austria. 1990-2013 musicologist and curator of music manuscripts at the Paul Sacher Foundation in Basel, Switzerland, responsible for 25 collections of manuscripts and other documents, amongst them Igor Stravinsky, Luciano Berio, Hans Werner Henze, Brian Ferneyhough, György Kurtág, and Erik Bergman. Since fall 2013, full professor in musicology at the University of Geneva. Has published widely on music, music history and music aesthetics mostly of the 20th and 21st Centuries.
