introduction to overtone singing

Last year, I wrote a piece for overtone singers, choir, and orchestra. Working closely with overtone vocalists, I became intrigued by the technique and began learning it myself.

In this workshop, I invite participants to explore the physical foundations and vocal techniques of overtone singing. Together, we’ll create a space for hands-on experimentation with this fascinating technique, regardless of prior experience. I will also introduce a notation system for overtone singing, developed in collaboration with overtone singing specialist Wolfgang Saus.
