Florentin Ginot
Double Bass Tutor
Born in France. Florentin Ginot is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of his art, not only as a remarkable soloist and a leading interpreter of contemporary music, but also in pioneering collaborations with artists across genres and disciplines. He has premiered solo works by Georges Aperghis, György Kurtág, Rebecca Saunders and Helmut Lachenmann and instigated hybrid projects with Helge Sten (Deathprod), songwriter Kamilya Jubran and actress Valérie Dréville. His debut album “Bach – Biber” for double bass and synthesizer was released on NoMadMusic in 2022. He has been a member of Ensemble Musikfabrik since 2015.
In 2025, Florentin Ginot is a tutor at the Darmstadt Summer Course for the first time.
