Michaël Pomero

Michaël Pomero (1980, France) discovered dance at the Junior Ballet Company of Béziers and continued his studies at the Rudra Béjart School in Lausanne. He commenced his professional career in 1999 at the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. In 2001, he joined the Lyon Opera Ballet, where he performed work by John Jasperse, Angelin Preljocaj, Dominique Boivin, Russell Maliphant, and others. In 2003, he launched his freelance career and moved to London, where he participated in two creations by Maliphant, and worked on different projects in the UK and Switzerland. In 2005, he co-founded the Loge 22 collective in Lyon with Marie Goudot and Julien Monty. Loge 22 is a cofounder of Europe’s SPIDER Festival, staging events in Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, France, and Belgium. While remaining involved in Loge 22 projects, Michaël Pomero danced in numerous productions by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, including Bartók/Beethoven/Schönberg —Repertory Evening (2006), The Song (2009), Cesena (2011), Vortex Temporum (2013), Work/Travail/Arbeid (2015), Mitten wir im Leben sind/Bach6Cellosuiten (2017), The six Brandenburg Concertos (2018), Così fan tutte (2017) and the Dark Red series.
