Peter Meanwell
Tutor "Words On Music"

Born in 1977. Peter Meanwell is a curator and radio maker, working with sound, music and listening, and their intersection with politics and social justice. Based in Bergen, Norway, until 2026 he is artistic director of Borealis – a festival for experimental music, commissioning and presenting work from across the spectrum of new composed music, improvisation and performance. Since 2014 he is the founder and creative director of London based audio production company Reduced Listening focusing on adventurous music, exploratory culture and progressive ideas through music shows, documentary, drama and podcast for clients as diverse as the BBC, Crooked Media and CERN.
In 2025, Peter Meanwell will be a tutor at the Darmstadt Summer Course for the fourth time.
