The ensemble as a lab: co-founded by Kranichstein Music Prize winner Romane Bouffioux, 4tet Laboratoire places particular emphasis on new repertoire and close collaboration with other artists. The quartet of two synthesizers, drums and percussion likes to mix different musical spheres and styles. For their Darmstadt debut, alongside Jagoda Szmytka's megaphone quartet sky-me, type-me from 2011, they have selected four newer pieces, representative of 4tet Laboratoire's self-image in their aesthetic diversity.
