An open discussion about how feminism relates to Modernism and 20th/21th century ways of being. Topics to explore could include the “feminine voice” in composition and/or performance (is this relevant? How and why does it manifest? What potential does it hold?); how to build a feminist history on top of the existing musical history; and many more. Listening examples are encouraged. Feminism is for all.
