Call for Composers

Throughout the workshop, composers will create a short piece for saxophone and electronics/video, focusing on collaboration, sound experimentation, notation and performance. Each composer will work closely with a saxophonist and have at least three individual sessions with the tutors. Outside of the workshop sessions, composers/performers will have time to work on their pieces independently. Additionally, composers are encouraged to participate in the performance, such as by contributing to live electronics, if desired.

Patrick Stadler and Hannes Seidl will select 3–4 composers. These composers will then have approximately three months to develop sketches and/or verbalized ideas. These should be submitted by 1 July 2025 to the tutors.

It is not necessary to present finalized scores before the Summer Course, as there will be ample time for further development during the workshop.
