Saxophone +

In their saxophone interpretation studio, Marcus Weiss and Patrick Stadler would like to work together with their participants on new repertoire for saxophone and electronics or duos of saxophone and another instrument (flute, electric guitar, accordion, violin, viola or cello).

Participants in the composition studios are invited to submit sketches by 30 April 2023.

All applicants will be notified by 15 May whether they are included in the project. Completed compositions (5–8 minutes) must be received by 10 July 2023. They will be rehearsed during the Summer Course and performed by participants in a workshop presentation during the second week of the Summer Course.

The following equipment is available for the saxophone and electronics projects: PA (stereo), microphones (DPA 4099, SM 57), MacBook (Ableton, Reaper, Max/MSP), midi controller (Korg nanoKontrol 2), interface (Fireface UC, 2 XLR inputs), analog mixing console (Allen & Heath Zed 12 FX), effects units (guitar pedals): Pitch Shifter Whammy 5, Boss DD-20, Boss RC-30, Boss RV-5. Own brought equipment is welcome, best after consultation.
