Library
In its publicly accessible library, the International Music Institute Darmstadt has been collecting scores of contemporary music (approx. 28,500) as well as specialist books (approx. 4,600), encyclopaedias, music journals, program booklets, records and CDs as well as materials on composers and performers of New Music since 1948. Special attention is paid to works that were performed at the Darmstadt Summer Course.
The holdings, some of which are rare, are constantly being expanded and form a unique fund of material for research and musical practice alike.
