Alfredo Ovalles

*1986 in Caracas (Venezuela). He is in great demand as a soloist and chamber musician. He performs concerts with orchestras such as the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk, the Orchestra of the Minsk Academic Music Theater and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic. His collaborations with the Black Page Orchestra, which has performed at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals such as Warsaw Autumn, Transart Bolzano, Wien Modern, have taken him from performing Stockhausen in an abandoned submarine harbor in Croatia, to be premiere pianist at venues such as the Lutoslawski Hall of Polish National Radio and the Vienna Konzerthaus. Whether in Berlin’s Philharmonie, a small jazz club in southern Austria or London’s King’s Place, his interpretations “sound unusual, great and are miles away from the canon” (O-Ton Magazine).
